Junior Capitals Ready to Host Pittsburgh

The Washington Junior Capitals continue its quest to make the playoffs on Day 133 when the Pittsburgh Junior Penguins come to town. Washington is four points out of eighth place at 27-31-8. Pittsburgh is 26-33-8.

Sean Bergenheim leads the Junior Caps attack with 13 goals and 33 assists for 46 points. Patrick O'Sullivan adds 17 goals and 26 assists, while Zbynek Novak contributes 14 goals and 25 assists. Sean Kotary is also chipping in with 17 goals and 19 assists.

On the blue line, Jakub Cutta has seven goals and 28 assists for 35 points. Brett Carson is also adding to the offense with four goals and 21 assists.

In goal, Brad Topping is 14-22-4 with a 3.08 GAA and .897 save percentage. Rookie Daniel Taylor is 11-9-3 with a 2.87 GAA and .897 save percentage. Robert Muller has been hot of late with a 2-0-1 record, 0.97 GAA and .962 save percentage.

The Junior Penguins are led by Dustin Brown with 28 goals and 28 assists for 56 points. Sven Helfenstein adds 20 goals and 24 assists, while Tuomas Pihlman contributes 13 goals and 30 assists. Daniel Paille, Danny Fritsche, and Marius Holtet add 41, 40, and 40 points.

On defense, Drew Fata has six goals and 24 assist for 30 points, and Ross Lupaschuk adds eight goals and 19 assists for 27 points.

Between the pipes, Brian Finley is 22-31-5 with a 3.40 GAA and .882 save percentage. Rookie Nathan Marsters is 4-2-3 with a 2.48 GAA and .902 save percentage.
