Oilers finally coming together

The Oilers have finally creeped their way into a respectable 4th place in the Campbell conference going 7-3-0 in their last 10. Key players like Kariya, Allison and Khabibulin have finally started to perform. Frolov leads the team in points with 24 but Kariya is quickly catching up with his consitant performance. Kariya is currently on a 5 game point streak and continues to show his worth at key moments for the Edmonton team. Khabibulin's performance has been upgraded to solid and Allison has clicked with Kariya well. If this performance continues Edmonton will soon be at the top of the Standings and finally get some of the respect they deserve in CLUTCH.

Junior Oilers relying on Leneveu
Tied for the least goals against in the league Goaltending has been key to the minimal success the Junior Oiler squad has had so far this season. All games have been exciting and close but the JrOilers sit just out of a playoff spot and some improvement is needed. The Junior squad has a mediocre Powerplay which could use some improvement, Their penalty kill is almost perfect which goes hand in hand with Leneveu stellar play. They Junior Oilers shadow the tough image of their Pro squad and spend a whopping 27.3 minutes in the box per game on average. Team scoring is mediocre while they are 2nd in Goals against. Expect a shake-up on the PowerPlay and perhaps a trade for some more scoring power to make this team a serious contender.
