Canuck jrs drop 1st game
In the 1st game of the series the Jr Canucks sent a message to the Wings showing them they wont be pushed around.
.The game got off to a great start then turned ugly when Jaroslav Kristek was caught skating with his head down and was knocked out cold.Bryan Allen and Christof Schubert dropped the gloves at 14;55 and the wing crumpled to the ice in a heap.Then less than 2 minutes later Tyler Redenbach and Paul Brown went toe to toe for at least a minute in a lively scrap.The period ended 0-0
The 2nd opened with brown taking a stupid hooking penalty and the Canucks making him pay.Defenceman Tim Branham scored from the point from Olafson and Courchaine at 3;53.Later in the period after skating around like an idiot Brown finally found what he was looking for a left to the chops from Tyler Redenbach. Brown turtled and both players were tossed from the game.Period ended 1-0 visitors
The 3rd period was a disaster for the Canucks.It all started to go wrong when Bykov went down like he was drawn and quartered by Ron Globke.It was such a blatent dive that the ref gave him a unsportsmanlike call for acting.Problem was he screwed the call up my giving Globke a double minor.The wings tied the game up and went on to score 3 more goals.The reffing was brutal but thats playoff hockey in Detroit.
Game 2 will have West starting hopeing to change jr Canucks luck
