The Blues pro staff took to the ice today in what was there fist full practice. One big surprise was Brad Richards the Blues leading point getter from last season on the LW was moved to center for most of the practice. When asked after the practice if this would be a permanant thing Coach Paul Maurice had these comments, "Well i believe the whole purpose of practice is to try new things. Brad was more then willing to give it a go. He is a good playmaker and one of the leaders on our team. We have a lot of depth at LW with our free agent aquisitions and Brad might be of more use to us as a center. As for his performance he did well controling the puck but needs a lot of work on the dot.

Several players where sent to the JR league today including GM Foleys own son Patrick. When asked how he felt about his son being cut from the team GM Foley had these coments, "Patrick still has a lot to learn and we are not prepared to rush his developement. He is still eligible to play in the JR's and that is where he belongs. Personally i would like to see him on the top line in the JR's then playing 5 minutes on the pro team."
