Goon play costs TinyBruins in O6 Matchup

Defensive miscues and half-assed defense cost the Boston Junior squad, as the Providence Bruins fell 2-1 to the Rangers Junior squad.

In a game where the Bruins averaged a penalty every six minutes - and the team totalled thirty-one minutes of penalty box time - and featured a fighting out of sheer frustration at the three minutes into the third. Premsyl Dubin and Jaakko Harikkala fought to a draw at that point.

Ten thousand fans gathered at the arena to see the home team loss. Teemu Kesa and Shawn Collymore led the Ranegrs Kiddies to their victory. Chris Berti netted his second of the season in an effort to bring the Cubbies back into the game, assisted by Jake Taylor and seconded by Pierre-Luc Edmond.

Brock Hooten, getting his first start of the season, had failed to allow a goal this season until the two minute mark. He was saddled with his first loss.

Pierre-Luc Edmond, with his one assist and a +1 rating and two hits, was awarded the third game star for the Bruins.
