Florida Jrs In New Jersey To Play Jr Devils

New Jersey-The Florida Jrs are in New Jersey tonight to play the Devils jrs in an early proverbial 4 point match up.

The New Jersey Jrs are currently tied for 9th spot with 14 points and only one point behind the 8th place Montreal Jr squad. The Florida Jrs are currently tied with the Washington Jrs with 11 points in the 10th spot.

A Florida win would not only extend their winning streak to a season high 3 games but would put them closer to the final playoff spot. A loss however would put them 6 points back and with every team in the hunt having 2 to 3 games in hand on the Florida squad would not be beneficial to say the least.

Once again the injury bug hit the Florida Jrs. Teams leading scorer Viktor Bobrov is sidelined for the next 1-2 weeks with a corneal abrasion. Tobias Enstrom is listed as day-to-day with a bruised elbow and Oskari Korpikari is making the slow comeback with his fractured forearm and is slated to return in another 4-6 weeks.

Goalie Billy Thompson is a little under the weather and so back up Lukas Mensator will get the start and centre Franz Nielsen will get the call up from the farm to replace Viktor Bobrov.
