Baby Bears catch, release Tiny Birds

Last night, Andreas Lindstrom went off against the Thrashers Juniors goalie David Leneveu and the defense of an obviously weakened Thrashers Juniors team, scoring two goals and adding two assists, adding two penalty minutes in the 6-1 Boston Junior victory.

Complimenting Lindstrom's performance were goals from Brett Nowak, Pierre-Luc Emond, Chris Berti, and Martin Samuelsson.

Lindstrom, goaltender Jordan Sigalet, and Nowak were awarded the respective Molson Game Stars for their performance. Sigalet stopped thirty-one of thirty-two shots to improve his record to 4-11-0.

One disappointment for the team was the weak performance by the power play, a putrid one-for-nine. The first period was a bloodshed, including a Jake Taylor ejection for a game misconduct hooking call that took out Zdenek Blatney at the 13:33 mark.

Both fights during the game - Tyson Strachan versus Kurtis Foster and Fred Skulynsky versus Patrick Wellar - ended in draws.

Chris Berti was notable for adding his first goal of the season.
