Dejected Bruins fly home

Riding a victory streak into Nashville, Boston Bruins' captain Keith Tkachuk apparently decided to taunt the lion -

"Look... we know that the Predators have their potent one-two of Brunette and Thornton. But after them, it's a drop off to Mike Modano and Scott Hartnell"

Well, Mike Modano promptly went out and scored a hat trick on the Bruins, which proved to make the difference in a 5-3 Nashville victory. Not a single member of the Boston Bruins would look at Tkachuk as they trudged into the lockerroom. Furthermore, Andrew Brunette kicked in two goals for fun and ecstasy as well, with both goals coming in a four minute span in the first period.

On the plus side, Bret Hedican scored his first goal of the season in the loss. Further, for his pregame bravadao - Keith Tkachuk netted no points.

The Bruins will return home to face Montreal tonight. Andrew Raycroft will likely return to the net after a few night's rest and spelling Grahame after his early implosion, finishing the second period and the rest of the game.

GM Joshua Anderson was quoted after the game saying, "We'll call it a moral victory - now get out of my face."
