Blues clean house

With a team who last season led the conference now struggling to get into the playoffs many fans have begun to complain that something must be done. Well today just hours before the Blues where set to go one on one with the serging Bruins GM Foley pulled the trigger on a blockbuster. Leaving the team will be the disappointing Wade Redden 2 goals 4 assists and a -16 who never seemed to fit into his Blues uniform and going with him will be Team Captain Radek Dvorak 8 goals 8 assists and -14 who also had fallen out of favour of GM Foley and Tylor Pyatt 2 goals 8 assists and -7 who was so dominant last season but had struggled this season. GM Foley had this to say about the 3 players he has dealt, "They are all solid players and will be missed but for some reason this season they have struggled very badly and perhaps a change in scenery will help them to get going."
In exchange for these 3 studs the Blues will recieve from the Rangers Martin Erat who had 5 goals and 7 assists with a +3 rating and Brendan morrow who has also played for the Coyotees this season and has 5 goals 5 assists and is +7 on the season as well as 2 young defencemen in Fedor Tyutin who has 1 goal and 9 assists this season and is currently sporting a +6 rating and Brooks Orpick who will add some much needed toughness to the Blues he also is having a decent season with 5 assists so far and 91 PIM. GM Foley had these comments about the players he will be recieving, "We are getting 4 solid young players who will step in right away. We will hopefully get this slide turn around and while these players are not going to be available against the Bruins tonight I believe just the thought of the trade will help get the boys going."
