Bruins prepare to Shermanize Atlanta
Much like General Sherman did, the Boston Bruins are hading south to burn that b---- to the ground.
The two teams battling it out for the basement of the Wales Conference will square off in a Sunday matinee game. Currently separated by five points, Atlanta has been trying to burrow itself further south, as they have lost nine in a row after a 4-7-1 start. They are on pace to give up more than three hundred fifty goals, while scoring less than two hundred, and have given up the most goals in the league by nearly ten percent.
Boston has attempted to right their ship during their extended series of games rotating home and away. While the travel has worn on the team, resulting in their recent tie of the Coyotes, the team hopes it has found some semblance of momentum.
"Our goal now is to finish the year at .500," GM Joshua Anderson said Friday, "and to do that, we have to start by beating the teams we should beat. Atlanta heads up that list."
This will be the first of three meetings between the two teams.
