Pens finally get 2 of their 4 holdouts!!
Eric Nystrom the talented 23 year old Center in the minors for the Pro Pens, finally accepted a deal from the Penguins GM today. Nystrom accepted a 3 year deal worth $1,400,000. GM Earl Jackson said, "I am so glad to finally get Eric signed. I have been trying since I came in and finally got him. This is a big snag for us. We did offer Mason, however he rejected. We wish him the best along with Tomas Surovy who we felt was not going to help out our team enough to make the playoffs." Earl did not mention the fact that Alexandre Mathieu also signed a 2 year deal worth $800,000. The Penguins had the night off but will return tomorrow night to play the Flyers and try to make up the 4 point deficit currently facing them from making the playoffs. The Pens also mentioned that they would like to find another goalie to replace Jean-Sebastien Aubin who, in Jacksons words, "Just is not getting the job done!!"
