Capitals Visit Devils in Critical Game

The Washington Capitals will try to bounce back from a 5-4 loss on Day 155 when they visit the New Jersey Devils on Day 156. Washington is sixth in the Wales Conference at 35-32-11. The Devils are two points behind the Caps at 36-35-7. The two teams play twice more after tonight's game.

The Washington attack is led by Zigmund Palffy with 29 goals and 50 assists. Patrick Marleau adds 29 goals and 38 assists, and recent arrival David Vyborny has 28 goals and 33 assists. On the wings, Anson Carter and Mikael Renberg contribute 57 points each, and speedy youngster Frantisek Lukes has 24 goals and 26 assists.

On defense, Rob Blake tops the charts with eight goals and 35 assists. Bryan Berard contributes 12 goals and 24 assists, and Dan Boyle is chipping in with 30 points.

Between the pipes, Manny Legace has been up and down all season. The veteran netminder is 28-27-8 with a 3.15 GAA and .883 save percentage. Backup Peter Skudra is 6-5-3 with a 2.91 GAA and .894 save percentage.

Miroslav Satan leads the Devils offense with 33 goals and 44 assists. Aging superstar Mario Lemieux adds 32 goals and 38 assists. David Legwand contributes 32 goals and 36 assists. A trio of players including Todd Marchant, Kristian Huselius, and Boyd Devereaux have 58 points each.

On the blue line, Mathieu Biron has eight goals and 40 assists. Robert Svehla adds 45 points, and Karel Pilar contributes 10 goals and 24 assists.

In goal, Nikolai Khabibulin is 32-30-5 with a 3.39 GAA and .880 save percentage. Mika Noronen is 2-5-1 with a 4.23 GAA and .852 save percentage.
