6 Periods of War in Edmonton

In triple overtime the Edmonton Oilers Defensman Grand-Pierre put in the game winner to bring the oilers within one goal. Conklin who continues to impress stopped 49 out 52 shots as the Oilers gritted their way to a 4-3 OT win. The win didn't come without a price although, As Bob Boughner received a 3 game suspension and Jason Smith in a devasting display of retailiation took a possible career ending head-butt from Nashville's Jodran Krestanovich. Smith is not expected to return until next season (if at all). Edmonton Managment has appealed to the league to suspend Krestanovich for intent to injure and the play is currently under review. Brian Boucher returns to the Edmonton line-up for game 4.
