3 More Free Agents Join Capitals

After yesterday's double-signing, a trio of free agents put their signatures on the dotted line to join the Washington Capitals. Carl Corazzini, Rob Scuderi, and Aleksander Suglobov are the new arrivals. All three signed contracts worth $300,000 per year with $250,001 signing bonuses.

Corazzini, 26, is a 5-9, 170 pound, center with good speed, intensity, and strength. Carl joins the team from the Bruins where last season he dished out three assists in 29 games. He also had 15 hits and 22 PIMs. It's not likely he'll see time in the Pro ranks this season, but with hard work on the farm, he could develop for the future.

Scuderi, 26, is defensive blueliner with good endurance. A project for the future, he checks in at 6-1 and 210 pounds. The coaching staff expects Scuderi to continue showing a good physical game while working hard on the skill aspects to improve overall. He will play on the farm for the foreseeable future.

Suglobov, 26, is a strong and intense winger with good discipline. He provides depth at the wing on the farm, and with perseverance and dedication he could make it to the pro ranks in the future. Aleksander is 6-0 and 200 pounds.

The Capitals are likely finished in the free agent market, but we never know what GM John Henry will do. Stay tuned for the latest from Washington...
