Leafs victorious in home opener

The Toronto Maple Leafs Win their home opener in convincing fashion, 6-2 over the Calgary Flames. Thomas Kaberle did it all, getting 1 goal and 3 assists (4 pts) and first star honors. The remaining 2 stars were also Leafs, making it a clean sweep.

With the Flames having no GM, the Leafs wanted to take no chances, playing the Flames hard knowing they had a day off between games. Next up for the Leafs are the Bluejackets. The Leafs hope to take full advantage of the back to back games at home before heading on the road for their tilt against the Canucks.


In the JR's, the team splits the double header winning the second game, and welcoming back rookie David Booth from injury. They also swept the star selections for the game.
