(Tampa) - The Lightning have had a terrible year so far and the team is underacheiving badly. But there seems to be some hope in the last 3 games. The Lightning have finally won 3 games in a row for the 1st time this seasaon and the team is starting to play better in all facits of the game. Gm Sprackman has been rumored on the way out but for now, he has no comment on the situation.

"I think we are a playoff team and once we get this going, we should be alright. I don't see why we have struggled so much this year but this last 3 games has shown we do have some game left in us. As for my immediate future, I have some personal matters that may have effect my time here, but I am sure I have this season covered. I will be around for trades and league work when required but time may be tight in a month or so." Gm Sprackman stated after the win today.

Hurme has been a surprise in the last 2 games and has been named the player of the game for both. He seems to be getting more comfortable in the net and hopefully he will be strong down the stretch. Scoring is coming from all four lines and it looks, after the last 3 games anyway, the players are paying more attention to defence. Is this a mirage? Gm Sprackman hopes not and he is confident this team will continue to play hard and make the playoffs.

As normal, many players are rumored on the trade block but Gm Sprackman has stated that only Prospal, Lemieux, Svehla and Weight are actively been shopped around the league. So far, no one wants to step up and pay the price for good players, so they remain on the Lightning. Probably will be that way until the end of the year.
