Both Senator Teams Shuffle the Lineup
In an attempt to recover from big losses, both the Jr. and Pro Senators have shuffled their lineups. The Jr. Sens still sit atop the Campbell Conference in Clutch but are coming off of a huge 7-1 loss to LA. That game saw star centerman Nick Tarnasky injured in the 2nd period and he will sit out tonight's matchup. In his place comes Brooks Laich who has put up some pretty ugly numbers in his games thus far this season. GM Schmucky is hoping that youngin Arsi Piispanen will fill in for Tarnasky on the 2nd line. Kiel McLeod has been somewhat disappointing of late, having been moved to line two in order for Tarnasky to shine on the #1 line. However, GM Schmucky is confident that Kiel will burst out of his slump tonight as he moves back to his 1st line role where the veteran Centerman has been known to make an impact.
The Pro Senators have just been disgusting of late. Huge losses in pretty much all of their games have resulted in some nasty comments by the media and GM Schmucky's inability to trade has left Ottawa with a less than promising outlook on the rest of this season. In an effort to break a 5 game losing streak GM Schmucky has scratched youngster Pierre-Marc Bouchard to make room for veteran Center Wes Walz to come in and hopefully boost the Sens to a victory. Alexei Smirnov also returns to the lineup after a long stint in the press box as he has been plagued by 3 different injuries of late.
Roman Turek gets the start for the Sens and Christian Pollar for the Jr. Sens.
