Leafs take Montreal on both levels, gear up for biggest game of the year

The Leafs came home and happily let the Montreal Canadians lose to them. The Jr team did the same for Montreals Jr's. Its this kind of generosity that has vaulted the Leafs into 5th spot overall in the League, and thus in more familiar territory for what was supposed to be a top tiered team. Final scores,Pro Leafs 4-1 over Habs, and JR buds 7-3 over Jr Habs.

They can't forget they are only 2 points away from dropping 5 spots, and 9 points from being out of the playoffs. The cushion over the Bruins for division lead is 7 points. Its the first time they have had any breathing room this season.

More important however is the big contest the next game against the Rangers. It comes at the end of a grueling 4 games in 4 nights stint. The buds will be tired and will need the energy gained off of playing in such an important contest if they will have any chance to win.



Both GMs will need to watch for any odd behavior after their last meeting. Medications for both GM's were rumored to be issued in preperation of this game. Whether or not any players are going to partake in these meds is unknown. The result should be a very intersting game, be in on or off the ice.
