Bruins to rest of Adams - ha!
After weeks of morbid expectations to open the season, the Boston Bruins have arrived.
With their win over the Buffalo Sabres, the team moved into a tie for the top spot in the division, and would hold the tiebreaker edge based on wins.
Tied with the club were the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Tampa Bay Lightning, last year's top Conference squad. Tampa Bay has been on a recent resurgance, winning several in a row to move into a tie for the top.
Toronto has been plugging away with consistency in a division it once that was a clinch to win. They have not trailed off significantly, if at all, but have been caught by surging teams.
According to Robbie Ftorek, the Boston Bruins head coach, "We're just happy to be in contention. We'll let the chips fall as they may, but right now, we cannot complain too loudly."
GM Joshua Anderson was a little more boisterous, saying "I knew we should have traded our first rounder earlier in the year. Now, its not worth anywhere near as much. Curse the luck, I guess. But what a good problem to have, eh?"
