No Suspension For Attack On Goalie

The Florida Panthers GM was in shock this afternoon as he got word from the Commissioners office that Dale Sullivan will not be suspended because Mensator was not injured enough.

"I guess that means its open season on goalies and these bushleague tactics are ok with the league." A visibly upset GM Perrault said at a news conference. "Sullivan swung his stick like an axe and intentionally hurt our goalie. So the message that the league is sending out is that if you intentionally go and injure someone as long as he is only going to be out for a few games then its OK. Someone is going to get seriously hurt and have their young career ended because the league will not crack down on this excessive violence. If that's they way they want to play then we can play that way as well, running and injuring goalies. That's what the league wants that's what they will get."

The GM then headed straight for the dressing room and was overheard telling his team do "what is necessary to win, including taking out the other teams goalie. If its ok for them its ok for us."
