Panther Juniors Dominated By Philly Juniors

The Florida Panther Juniors went to Philidelphia to play the Philly Juniors and forgot to show up for the game. The Panther juniors lost for the 5th straight game and are still looking for their first win.

Philly outshot the Panthers 46-24 and 20-3 in the third period that gave them a 4-1 victory.

Phillys dominance was marred at 3:06 of the third period when Dale Sullivan highsticked and injured Panther goalie Lukas Mensator.

"That was just uncalled for and we will be sending this to the commish for review."GM Perrault said at the post game interview "I don't know what he was thinking (Sullivan) but this kind of bush league play has no place in this league. The game wasnt that far out of reach and was pretty close up until then. I guess they felt that the only way they can take us off our game and win is to take out our goalie. It worked because after that we couldnt get anything going and they outshot us 20-3. Its bushleague at best and Sullivan should be kicked out of the league. This has to be stopped. If the league wont take action then we will administer our own punishment the next time we play Philly."

Sullivan will not be kicked out of the league but he will probably get a suspension after the league reviews the incident. The league has seen an increase in violence and injury this season that has many GM's upset at their players being hurt by bushleague tactics and have had discussions with the commishioner on the subject.

The Panther Juniors have had several injuries so far this season and Mensator is the latest. Mensator will miss at least 3 games with a bruised elbow. Brad Richardson will be out for another 3 weeks before he is ready to return from a broken fibula. Oskari Korpikari will likely miss the rest of the season before he returns from a fractured forearm that almost ended his carreer and had him considering retirement at the tender age of 21.

On a postitive note Tobias Enstrom will return to the lineup tonight after he had his nose broke in the first period of the second game of the season.

The Panthers will travell to Nashville and play the Predator Juniors before heading home to host Washington.
