OIlers scouts come across Swedish Gem Free Agent

When the Oilers sent their head of scouting to Sweden they weren't sure if any success would come from it until they heard about former NHL Niclas Havelid and his intent to return to the NHL next season. Immediately the Oilers struck a deal with Havelid for 4 years. He will finish out the season playing for Sodertalje SK of the Swedish Elite League and will join the Oilers squad for training camp in this upcoming off-season. Havelid is expected to re-rate nicely with his return to the NHL and hopefully be a contender for a spot on the Oilers #1 defensive line.
