JR. Sens Ready to Recapture Lead

The Junior Ottawa Senators prepare for the JR Devils tonight at the Corel Center. The Sens are 1 point out of first place in the Campbell Conference with a game in hand going into tonight's matchup with the Devils.

"The lines are switched up and ready to go" says coach Martin and the story of tonight is the goaltender for Ottawa as youngster, Adam Berkhoel gets his 3rd straight start. After stepping in when vets Tobias Stephan and Christian Pollar were tired, Berkhoel is ready for the task. When asked if he has lost confidence in his other goalies GM Schmucky said, "Hell no! Adam put up good numbers the last 2 games and we are undefeated with him back there so we are gonna roll with the punches and try to keep it going. I hate to pull a hot goaltender so we'll give him the chance to pull another close one out for us tonight!" Berkhoel put up solid numbers in his first 2 starts with the JR. Sens: Adam Berkhoel Ott 2 125 2.40 1 0 1 0 5 57 .912.

Another guy to keep an eye on is Chris Kelly. Kelly has 8 goals and 1 assist in his last 4 games and is just on fire! He has shot to the top of the Senators scoring list and is really making an impact. Golovin and Kelly have kept the Senators in their race for 1st place while impact guys like Hendrickx, Olesz, Tarnasky and Mcleod go to camp to polish their skills. "They are the heart of this team. They come out every night and play their hearts out for us! It's amazing!" said GM Schmucky when asked about the unexpected impressive performance from his JR's.
