Time to Panic for Sens?

Well, maybe it's not quite time to panic, but it's damn close! The Ottawa Senators have dropped 9 in a row and are frustrated and angry! But what can they do? GM Schmucky said early today that "we have been trying to improve the team but it isn't easy. We are trying to deal for a #1 Goalie or some new faces up front without trying to throw away our future in the process."

The Senators do have what appears to be the makings of a decent future with players like 21 year old Bouchard, 26 year old Ryder, 23 year old Whitney, 24 year old Holmqvist and 26 year old Novak. However, something must be done! The team has looked dreadful the last 9 games and the fans are getting restless.

"Most likely guys like Morrison, Lehtinen, Zhitnik, Turek, Walz, and Selanne are veterans we are shopping around as well as the young, fiery wingers like Alexeev, Fata, Petrasek, Grosek, Svejkovsky, Smirnov, Fedoruk, Babenko, BJ Young and possibly young D-man Jim Fahey."

GM Schmucky also added that, "the lineup has been shaken up tonight with underachiever Brendan Morrison moving to the 2nd line just to try some new chemistry and Lehtinen being moved to Line #1 to try to keep the puck out of the net!"
