Senators Make it Two Wins in a Row!

The Ottawa Senators are on their biggest winning streak in 20 games after winning their 2nd game in a row at home last night. The Sens came off of an offensive outpouring scoring 7 goals against San Jose, and they had another nice game scoring 5 more against the Sabres to win 5-3.

Teemu Selanne started the scoring at the 6 minute mark on a beauty assisted by Nedved and Whitney. However, the Sabres quickly tied the game up before the end of the period to keep it tight going into period 2.

Buffalo came out with guns a blazin in the 2nd quickly taking a 2-1 lead as they definitely beat the Sens out of the gate. But Ottawa wouldn't give up as they would add two before the end of the period on goals by Smirnov and Nedved and assists from Sejna, Selanne, Morrison and Holmqvist.

The 3rd period belonged to the Sens as they came in with a 3-2 lead and outshot the Sabres 11-8. Goals by Poti and Fata with assists from RYDER, MORRISON,HOLMQVIST and SEJNA secured the victory. Roman Turek played another great game stopping 32 of 35 shots and the story for the Sens seems to be that when Turek is on, the team wins, when he's off, they are waaayyy off.

The Senators enjoy a nice night off to celebrate their streak and hopefully, score some nice Ottawa ass in the process!
