Stalking the prey
Playing for pride, the Boston Bruins will welcome the Campbell leading Nashville Predators to town for their second battle of the year.
Back in the second month of the season, the Bruins headed to Nashville as part of their Road Trip From Hell and left on the short end of a 5-3 game. It was the last loss before a closed-door team meeting, a shuffling of the roster for positions, and a 10-1-2 run that catapulted the team into the thick of the Adams Division race.
The Bruins enter the game winners of six of their last ten, and are 6-3-1 in that stretch. The Predators are 5-2-3 in their last ten and tied the Kings in their last outing. Boston defeated the Buffalo Sabres last night to enter the game on a positive note.
"It will be a daunting task," GM Robbie Ftorek said, "but we faced the Wales Conference leading New York Islanders just six games ago, and took care of them - at their home rink. So what's to say this cannot go just as well?"
The Bruins face off in the late game tonight, then will host the Vancouver Canucks.
