Capitals Host Devils in Penultimate Game

The Washington Capitals host the New Jersey Devils in a critical contest on Day 160. The meeting is the penultimate game for both clubs. Washington is fifth in the Wales Conference at 36-33-11. New Jersey is ninth at 36-37-7.

Zigmund Palffy leads the way for Washington with 29 goals and 50 assists. Patrick Marleau adds 29 goals and 38 assists, and David Vyborny has 29 goals and 33 assists. Mikael Renberg contributes 59 points, while Anson Carter has 27 goals and 30 assists. Frantisek Lukes is chipping in with 52 points.

On the blue line, Rob Blake tops the list with eight goals and 36 assists. Bryan Berard adds 13 goals and 24 assists, and Dan Boyle contributes 32 points.

Between the pipes, Manny Legace is 29-28-8 with a 3.12 GAA and .884 save percentage. Peter Skudra is 6-5-3 with a 2.91 GAA and .894 save percentage.

A pair of veterans spark the New Jersey attack. Miroslav Satan has 33 goals and 44 assists, and Mario Lemieux adds 32 goals and 39 assists in 68 games. David Legwand contributes 68 points, while Kristian Huselius has 59. Todd Marchant and Boyd Devereaux have 56 points each, and Darcy Tucker is chipping in with 56 points.

On defense, Mathieu Biron has eight goals and 40 assists. Robert Svehla is right behind with five goals and 41 assists. Karel Pilar is also contributing with 10 goals and 24 assists.

In goal, Nikolai Khabibulin is 32-32-5 with a 3.40 GAA and .879 save percentage. Mika Noronen is 2-5-1 with a 4.23 GAA and .852 save percentage.
