AND A NEW ERA BEGINS

Well with Todd Bertuzzi shuffled out of town it was not much of a surprise to hear that his friend and Canucks captain Ed Jovanoski was next to go.After a disappointing season there were rumblings that a major shakeup was coming. No way i could justify paying those 2 players over 11 million and be cap strapped for another season. The final nail in the coffin was Eric Cole decideing to test the open market.Sowith all this hanging over the Canucks head it was decided to go younger.
Feelers were quitely sent out throught the league to GM,s who were in the room. The blues showed the most interest and after some discussions the names Brad Richards and Karel Rachunek were finalised. We are pleased to get the talented Richards to play along with newly aquired Rick Nash.Rachunek fits nicely into a defence led by Jordan Leopold and some other youngsters who should help the canucks hopefully make the playoffs this year.Next step is to fix the goaltending problem. The Canucks are not done yet.
