Andreas Lindstrom earns his way up

The Boston Bruins held yet another press conference today to announce the arrival of Andreas Lindstrom with the parent club.

"We felt we could no longer justify Andreas' remaining in the juniors. We wanted to leave him there as long as possible, so he could gain experience, but last year showed he was as ready as he could be," GM Joshua Anderson stated.

Lindstrom was the second leading scorer on the Providence roster for last season, accumulating 21-31-52 for the season in seventy-seven games. Eight of his goals were on power play, and three were game winners. He also racked up two hundred eighty-eight penalty minutes for good measure, showing he is a complete player.

Anderson continued, "Outside of the gaudy statistics, what we saw was him develop as a player, and we believe he has some potential to bloom even further. We want that to happen in a Bruins sweater."

Lindstrom is expected to make a run at the fourth left winger spot. His scoring touch is without a doubt the best of the contenders, and he has the largest presence on ice, but he is the biggest defensive liability of the four.

As typical for the Bruins, terms were not released of the deal. It is known the deal was for two years, and it was purportedly $500,000 per year. A $650,000 bonus was unconfirmed as being included.
