Bruins continue to be amazed by Saprykin
Free agent negotiations with Oleg Saprykin continue to go splendid. The Boston Bruins were, of course, surprised - though of course, extend their sympathies to the Washington Capitals, who are now stuck in the same SapryRut.
Once again, Saprykin has deemed he will "never, ever" sign a contract with the franchise holding his rights.
"We worked with Oleg and his representatives every step of the way to try to get him back in a Bruins sweater," GM Joshua Anderson said when told Saprykin had rejected the Capitals overtures. "When it became evident he was just not going to work with us, we dealt him to Washington. I feel for John Henry, knowing the position he is now in. Frankly, I question whether Oleg even WANTS to play hockey anymore."
Told of these comments, representatives for Saprykin only laughed. "Of course he wants to play hockey - he just wanted nothing to do with that loser franchise in Boston!" his lead agent guffawed.
When asked about rejecting the Capitals offer as well, the agents had no comment at this time.
