Blues long road trip
First the Sabres then the Wings. The Blues are currently on a 6 game road trip to start the season and head coach Paul Maurice couldn't be happier, "Its always a good thing to start on the road and build a little chemistry. The team is spending a lot of time together and I like the chemistry that I have seen so far.
In the Blues first game it was there top line that got the job done as Eric Cole had a goal and an assist to lead the way as the Blues held in the third period to get a huge 3-2 win to start the season off on the right note. Then in the game against the Wings the secound third and hell even the fourth line stepped up including a 2 goal and 1 assist game for Steve Kariya from the 3rd line. Kariya had these comments after the game, "Coach came to me early in the first and told me on the bench that I better be ready. He kept tapping me on the shoulder and i kept hopping over the boards. It was crazy, I am pretty sure that is the most icetime that I have gotten since i turned pro. God what a game."
Next up for the Blues is a stiff test as they face the defending Stanley Cup champions Islanders. As for the baby Blues they will have there first 3 games on the road and comming off an impressive 6-2 win over the Pittsburg jr franchise they are also off to a great start. As for the Blues fan unless they can go with the team they wont see the Baby Blues at home till day 9 against the Minny JR team and the big club wont see home cooking till day 12 against the Stars.
