Ozzy Redeems Himself with Shutout!

Goaltender Chris Osgood seemed to respond positively to his GM's criticism yesterday after blowing a 3 goal lead in the third period to tie the Habs. Last night, Osgood stopped all 29 shots that he faced versus the Dallas Stars to earn his first shutout of the season.

The shutout also secured the 2-0 victory for the Sens as they now have earned 3 out of a possible 4 points in their first two games. Kovalev and Ryder provided the goals for Ottawa in what was called a 'snoozer' by most fans who were leaving early. There was only 4 penalties and 2 goals in the game as the Senators put on a defensive and goaltending clinic for the crowd and the Stars themselves.

Schmucky was very impressed with his teams performance and looks forward the their next game against the Red Wings in two days at the Corel Center. Injured Defensive Ryan Whitney is expected to be back and provide more youth on the point as Zhitnik is expected to be dealt or restructured so he can play on their farm affiliate.
