Sens Streak Shattered by Shutout

The Ottawa Senators had another 5 game unbeaten streak come to an end last night. This time, shattered by the somewhat disappointing Montreal Canadiens.

The Habs are not even in playoff contention really and this is what disappoints GM Schmucky, "I don't mind losing. In fact, prior to the season starting, no one predicted we'd be fighting for a playoff spot. However, to lose to a team like that is rather upsetting. A basically GM-less squad run by the players themselves, who have been on a 6 game losing streak. I guess they were just hungrier than we were. We took this game for granted and got embarrassed because of it."

The fans will be expecting a much better effort later tonight as the Sens faceoff against the Sabres in Buffalo. Don't expect many changes to their roster as Ottawa has been winning of late and are hoping this game was just a blip on the radar soon to be overlooked.
