Bruins add Turgeon, Sykora

Tuesday morning, the Boston Bruins announced the signing of two more members of their offensive unit - Peter Sykora and Pierre Turgeon.

"We have made yet another addition to our pathetic center play of last year with Peter Sykora. However, he needs to play his way onto the roster during camp, or he may find himself back on the free agent market, searching for a job. We figure that while his $250,000 bonus was a financial cost, it was worth incurring if he plays his way in," Anderson declared.

Sykora spent last season with the Minnesota Wild, scoring 19-25-44 in eighty games, good for their second leading scorer. Meanwhile, Pierre Turgeon was a Dallas Star, appearing in seventy-seven games for 8-15-23 and a +4 rating, primarily as a third line left winger for the team.

"Pierre Turgeon is a sentimental favorite of the franchise," Anderson told the media gathering, "but should Oleg Saprykin choose to leave Boston in a move of unsettling ingratitude, we believe he can serve as a fourth line wing. Should Oleg return, Pierre may serve for spot starts and injury fill-in."

The team continues to hunt for defensive assistance as well.
