Jr Isles Lose by Touchdown

In an effort that can only be called laughable, the jr squad of Long Island had their ass handed to them on Monday. Their opponents were the undefeated (3=0=1) Jr Ducks, and after 20 minutes of play, it was obvious the Jr Anaheim club was going to improve to 4=0=1 by game end.

Lowlights of the 8=1 Anaheim win include:
• NY`s Matt Zaba giving up 5 goals on only 14 shots. The goalie from Yorkton Saskatchewan looked very shaky, letting in 2 goals from outside the blueline
• Anaheim`s Pierre Parenteau had a goal and 3 assists on the night, while linemate Maxim Rybin has a pair of goals.
• Karl Stewart got the lone goal for the jr Isles, his 1st of the yr.

Nevermind pucks, Zaba couldn't even keep the other team's players from getting over the line

The loss drops the Junior Islanders to 1=4=1 on the season, and they`ve given up a league worst 26 goals in 6 games (4.33 goals per game). Kelly Guard will likely be back in net for the jr club, as he tries to stop the bleeding.

Ice Chips
There`s no rest for the team, as the Isles had to board a plane immediately after the game, and fly across the all the way to Montreal, who they`ll play on Tuesday…Defenseman Anton Kadeykin will not be playing, as he has 2 games left on his suspension from the league.
