Kariya; Oilers go down Vs. Panthers

The Panthers came to Edmonton yesterday and beat the Oilers in an easy 4-1 victory after Oiler Star winger Paul Kariya left the game early in the first period with a what is being called an upper body injury by Edmonton training staff. The Oilers tallied just 16 shots in the contest and except for some 4th liners that seemed into the game appeared very flat vs. Florida.

After the game Edmonton training staff noted Kariya's condition as Day-To-Day and also announced they would be hiring a healing specialist in order to potentially have Paul back in the line-up vs. Philadelphia Tonight. Dr. David Linter M.D; a sports medicine specialist was hired for a rumoured $450,000 and flown in from Houston, Texas early this morning.

Junior Oilers edged by Junior Flyers

Edmonton showed their Net Worth yesterday vs. the 5-1-0 Flyers, Holding them to just 1 goal in a 1-0 loss. The continued strong play on goaltender Levenau contributed to the close contest and the Junior Oilers had no reason to hang their head after the loss.
