Pohl Struggles at Strength Camp

Washington Junior Capitals rookie Peter Pohl spent the last week at strength camp, but results were not great for the young Czech. Pohl will return to the lineup for upcoming games in the Junior league.

Pohl, 18, generously listed at 5-11 and 185 pounds, but he's definitely not a physically strong player. Attending strength camp gave him a great chance to improve on his physical strength, but he struggled throughout. "We're not sure what the problem was, but at the end of the day Peter did not improve as much as expected. Mauybe it was a language issue, I don't know," GM John Henry said.

Peter has two goals and six assists in 17 games for the Junior Capitals.

Washington is not sending any players to intensity camp this week, but the team will have two players at scoring camp in week 7.
