Senators Send Two to SC Camp
One of the few bright spots of the Senators' season so far has surprisingly been the development of it's JR. Players. Most players that have attended camp so far have been very successful and 3 of them have even moved up in their overall ability rankings.
The Senators have sent two players to scoring camp this week: 18 year old Rostislav Olesz and 21 year old Nick Tarnasky. Both scoring centermen in the Junior league will be gone all week in an attempt to hone their skills and score spots on the dwindling pro team roster.
Nick Tarnasky is a gritty, 21 year old forward who has been very successful this season. Even after missing 4 games due to injury and having played most of the year on the 2nd line, Tarnasky still leads the team with 14 points. However, only 5 of these are goals and he hopes that a successful scoring camp can even further his skills, "I just hope that when I come back I have gained some valuable knowledge. With both of us going, I also hope the team can be successful and keep us in the top half of our division."
Also attending camp this week is 18 year old phenom, Rostislav Olesz. He is a rookie on the Jr. Sens squad this year and thus, has spent most of the season on the 3rd and 4th line. However, with a solid couple camps this year and the graduating of Kiel Mcleod, he hopes to earn himself a more significant role for next year on the 1st or 2nd line, "I just want to take every opportunity to develop and improve in these first few years so the transition to pro will be seamless."
GOOD LUCK FELLAS!
