Basement Battle could be 'Wild'

The Ottawa Senators carry their huge 2 game winning streak into tonights game versus the Minnesota Wild. The Senators are impressed with their play recently. They have finally put up some good numbers scoring 12 goals in their last 2 games. Morrison and Nedved have led the charge but almost everyone has pitched in.

The play of highly criticized goaltender Roman Turek has been outstanding in the last two games, stopping 30 and 32 shots to solidify victories for Ottawa. However, this will be especially tough tonight as the Wild bring with them the always dangerous Vinny Lecavalier. Vinny currently has 58 points, 18 more than the two leading Senators, Petr Nedved and Brendan Morrison.

The Senators scoring will be in tough against Roman Cechmanek, however, reports say he is less than 100 % and this could pose a problem for the Wild against the streaking team from Ottawa.

Regardless, expect a good game with lots of scoring tonight in Ottawa.
