Panthers Devour Bruins

THE FLORIDA PANTHERS
The Florida Panthers have only lost one game in their last 13 going 11-1-1 in that stretch. The only loss came at the hands of the Boston Bruins 8 games ago when the Bruins defeated the Panthers at home 2-0.
In a league article written by the Bruins GM Joshua Anderson it was said that the Panthers just rolled over (like all good pussy) and took a pounding. Last night the "good pussy" was way way too much for the Bruins who were slapped around like a cheap whore in an 8-3 Panther victory.
The Panthers opened the scoring at the six minute mark when Yanick Lehoux notched his 13th of the season for the 1-0 lead. Bostons Martin Havlat scored his 16th of the year at 9:33 to even the score at 1. The Panthers regained the lead when Kim Johnsson scored a power play goal at 11:28 while Bostons Kopecky was in the box for a roughing minor. Stephan Weiss gave the Panthers a two goal lead at 16:44 and the Panthers went into the locker room up 3-1 after 20 minutes.
The second period was not much better for the Bruins. Ivan Novoseltsev scored his 23rd of the season and eventual game winner just :33 seconds into the period. Valeri Bure added an insurance marker at 8:33 giving the Panthers a commanding 5-1 lead. The Bruins Bill Guerin made it 5-2 when he netted his 23rd of the year at 11:14 of the period. The Bruins were hoping that goal would put some spark in their game as they were outshot 27-15 in the first two periods and limped into the dressing room licking their wounds and wondering what happened to the (good pussy) they had the last time these two teams met.
Peter Sykora gave the Bruins some hope when he scored just 1:21 into the third period to cut the lead to 5-3 and only needing two goals with practically the whole period left to play. Loungo and Nolan had other plans though. Pierre Dagenais gave the Panthers their 3 goal lead back at 5:25. Owen Nolan scored his 21rst and 22nd goals of the season in the third. The first at 9:36 and the second at 13:43 and that was way too much for the Bruins to overcome.
Roberto Loungo stopped 24 of the 27 shots he faced as the Florida Panthers devoured the Boston Bruins 8-3 in front of their home crowd and this time the Panthers were the big cats and true to the saying "Big cats scratch...but a little pussy never hurt no one."
