New Faces in Edmonton appear to be a huge improvment.
With the new faces in the lineup last night, A cleaner more disciplined line-up took to the ice and played a very solid game to defeat the RedWings 4-1.The Oilers on Average have spend 23 minutes a game in the boxy, But with some of their more agressive players now scratched (or released in Ference's case) the Oilers only spent 8 minutes in the box, Probabley the notable difference. Donovan scored 2 goals and Smith in his first game in the Edmonton Uniform logged 21 minutes of ice-time, scoring 1 assist and a +2 rating. The Wallin/Smith combination proved to be an unbeatable defensive minded duo. The Oilers suit up again tonight vs. the Maple Leafs.
