Saprykin returns to Russia

As talks with the Boston Bruins have not produced a contract yet, Oleg Saprykin (not pictured at left) has returned to his native Russia to play with his local club team.

Speaking through his agent, Saprykin issued a statement proclaiming his love of the game and the people of Boston.

"I love the game of hockey and the fans in Boston. However, I am a man, and I have to stand up for myself as one," he said. "If a man cannot have several strippers a night, if a man cannot have extravagantly priced sports cars on his weekly stipend, if a man cannot put himself in position to sleep with Anna Kournikova (actually pictured at right) like other great Russian hockey players before him... then I spit on their offer and will return to the Russian Mob infested league of my younger days."

Saprykin's agent had nothing further to expand on the statement, saying only that Saprykin was firm in his belief and assertion the Bruins were taking advantage of his client's youth.
