Providence sends netminder to camp
The Providence Bruins announced today that, to the disappointment despite the seven adoring fans who show up nightly and buy expensive tickets in the hopes of seeing him play, Chris Heino-Lindberg will be inactivated for the next week as he attends puck control camp.
"We are, quite frankly, disappointed with all of our options in the junior net," GM Joshua Anderson said during the conference announcing the enrollment. "Each player has been overall weak in his performance, so it was determined that we would attempt to get any improvement we can from Chris in the farms. While he is rated in the mid-sixties of all goalie prospects, we hope this can improve his overall puck control skills and style, which should aid him in his efforts to move up our rankings."
When asked his opinion, Heino-Lindberg would state he was looking forward to the rest from farm games, and said "I'm glad they have chosen to invest in me. I take that as a sign they wish to continue to develop me and retain me with the Providence club."
Heino-Lindberg will return to camp in seven day's time.
