Junior Capitals Visit Long Island

The Washington Junior Capitals will try to stay in the Wales Conference playoff race on Day 139 when they visit New York to face the Junior Islanders. Washington is six points out of the final playoff spot at 28-31-10. New York is third in the conference at 36-26-9.

Sean Bergenheim leads the way for the Caps with 14 goals and 33 assists for 47 points. Patrick O'Sullivan adds 17 goals and 27 assists, while Zbynek Novak contributes 41 points. Sean Kotary is also chipping in with 38 points.

On defense, Jakub Cutta has seven goals and 29 assists to lead the way. Igor Shadulov contributes four goals and 24 assists, while the injured Brett Carson has 25 points.

In goal, Brad Topping is 14-22-6 with a 3.00 GAA and .900 save percentage. Daniel Taylor is 11-9-3 with a 2.87 GAA and .897 save percentage, and Robert Muller is 3-0-1 with a 1.71 GAA and .933 save percentage.

The Isles are led by Karl Stewart's 24 goals and 28 assists for 52 points. Brett Sterling adds 44 points, and Francois-Pierre Guene has 19 goals and 24 assists. Brian Perez is also chipping in with 37 points.

On the blue line, Matt Jones has eight goals and 32 points. Mikko Lehtonen adds 30 points, and Merek Deech has 25 points.

Between the pipes, Matt Zaba is 35-24-8 with a 2.82 GAA and .904 save percentage. Kelly Guard is 1-2-1 with a 3.17 GAA and .897 save percentage.
