The Rumour Mill is Turning in Ottawa

GM Jason Schmuck announced yesterday morning that BIG changes were on the horizon for his ugly Ottawa club as they begin to look forward to next season. Schmucky would not say names but did note that a BIG trade had been made but details were not being released until everything is finalized.

That got the media buzzing as names came flying out of everywhere with predictions about who may be moving, and even more exciting, who may be coming in!

Schmucky has been actively searching for a new #1 goalie, a solid, stay at home defenseman, and a franchise-worthy player since at this point, Ottawa has no one worth protecting. Schmucky could also be searching for that 1st rd. pick he so desperately wants or trying to solidify and put the final touches on a JR squad that is top in their conference and only 2 pts out of 1st overall.

Schmucky says that the first of what should be MANY upcoming changes to the face of the Senators should be announced within the week as the finishing touches are put on the deal. Is it a biggie? We hope so!
