Canucks add Ward

Vancouver Canucks are pleased to announce that they have aquired Aaron Ward from the pittsburgh organisation.Aaron should provide us with some stability on the blue line.We have traded for defencemen just coming into their prime since late last season.We added 25 year old Holquist ,26 year old Leopold and 27 year old Rachunek.So the addition of Ward should show these boys the tricks he has learned over the years.Gone fron the Canucks is Jonie Pitkanen a player the Canucks found expendable.
With Douville and McCarthy chopping at the bit to hit the big time we feel we have enough depth at the position to deal away a youngster.
Now its time to mull over the RFA offers and hopefuly get this nasty buisness out of the way.
