David Leneveau wins Junior Vezina
The Oilers Junior team did not do well at all last season but it wasn't as a result of their Goaltending which was considered the best aspect of the Junior team's lousy performance. In what was his 3rd season with the Oilers team he stood out this year tremdously. Starting 61 games, posting a Goals against average of 2.23 and an outstanding save % of .917 Leneveau showed a maturity in his style of play that could've lead a better offensive team to the playoffs or further. This year with an older more experienced squad in front of him Leneveau hopes to have some success and maybe lead his team into the playoffs for a change. Leneveau received top honours this off season; The Junior Vezina. Is this a sign of things to come when Leneveau creeps his way onto the Oilers Pro roster? The Oilers can only hope so. The Oilers have as high of expectations for their Junior Squad as they do their pro squad this year. All the way to the cup.
