The Boston Bruins Season Preview - Pierre Turgeon

The "noted signing" of last off-season, Turgeon found himself mired deep in the muck until the Bruins roster mess got sorted out and playing semi-coherently after a terrible start. He eventually played in fifty-eight games, primarily on the third and fourth lines, notching seven goals and twelve assists for nineteen total points.

Early reports from offseason workouts say Turgeon has lost another step in the process of the aging. At thirty-seven, that is to be expected. His shot was less accurate and had less power, insiders say, and he fumbled with the puck, not protecting it as well as he did in the past.

"We continue to welcome Pierre and his efforts here," GM Joshua Anderson stated. "However, we cannot promise him any playing time. We are expecting him, honestly, to serve as more of a mentor to the other players in a leadership capacity. We expect to play three wings on each side in most games, and four in the remainder, so as our sixth left winger... he is sort of the man out in terms of ice time."

Asked about his plans, Turgeon shrugged. "I'll see how things play out. Let's leave it at that."

Prediction - 0 games, 0-0-0
