Capitals Select Peters in First Round
The Washington Capitals selected goaltender Justin Peters in the first round of the CLUTCH draft. Peters, 18, plays for the Toronto St. Michael's Majors in the Ontario Hockey League.
One of the top netminders in all of junior hockey, Justin plays a butterfly style and possesses excellent agility and instincts. A good skater and strong on the puck, Peters is a real competitor and always give his team a chance to win. He is a good-sized goalie at 6-0 and 209 pounds, and his strong positioning allows him to play even bigger than his size.
In his last season with Toronto, Peters was 30-16-6 with a 2.65 GAA and .910 save percentage.
