Draft wrap up from Canucks

With their 3rd draft pick the canucks selected Scott parse out of the Ncaa system.Parse is a very skilled forward who possesses excellent playmaking abilities. He has good size but needs to bulk up more. He has a great set of hands and possesses very good passing skills. He is a good skater who moves well through traffic and will drive to the net. One of Parse’s greatest attributes is his superb hand-eye coordination. He is player who is quite opportunistic and plays with a great deal of passion. He can deliver some punishing hits as well. He has no trouble finding the net and possesses a good hard low shot. He has the ability to play in any situation, including quarterbacking the power play

With their next 3rd round pick the Canucks went close to the home of GM Blkhawk and plucked former Kitchener Ranger Matt Auffrey.A big guy, Auffrey has power forward potential. He skates well, posesses a booming shot and handles the puck well. He does however lack a top-end speed and isn't always consistent with his effort. He needs to learn how to use his body effectively and improve his play without the puck.

With there last pick the Canucks once again went back to the American college system and plucked Mike Lundin out of Maine.Lundin is a skilled defenseman who possesses exceptional playmaking abilities and athleticism. While he has good size, he could stand to bulk up. He is an excellent skater with good acceleration. Possesses some good hands and great passing ability. He also shows tremendous confidence with the puck. He can be utilized in every type of situation, including quarterbacking the power play. He possesses very good vision and hockey sense. He is positionally solid. Possesses a good, hard shot. He makes excellent outlet passes, has the ability to both jump up into plays and lead the rush up the ice. Possesses a great attitude and seemingly tireless work ethic.

The Canucks were very happy with the drafting of these 5 youngsters and with some good camps hopefully we will see some of them with the big club some day.
